Peace

I felt the tug
on my heart
and the gentle
whisper,
of the Holy Spirit
urging me to
let go...
and let God...
so I put the wheel
into His hands
and let Him steer
me to a quiet shore
called peace.


This poem I wrote in March 1995 is what came to mind after the news of the Virginia Tech massacre broke.
